Located in Serravalle Scrivia, just one hour from Milan and about 40 minutes from Genoa, Serravalle Designer Outlet is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Europe.

This open-air outlet village attracts both local and international visitors all year round. Thanks to its wide range of luxury brands and year-round discounts, it remains one of the largest shopping centres in Europe.

How It All Began

The idea for the Serravalle outlet dates back to 1987. Giuseppe Roveda developed the project in partnership with Tarciso Persegona.

After visiting Bicester Village in England, Roveda wanted to create a similar shopping experience in Italy. However, the project initially faced several obstacles, including restrictive permits that banned restaurants.

Later on, the British company McArthurGlen joined as a key investor. As a result, the project moved forward and the outlet officially opened in 2000.

It became Italy’s first luxury outlet shopping village. Visitors could shop high-end brands at discounted prices while also enjoying on-site dining options.

What Makes Serravalle Designer Outlet So Special?

Today, the outlet features more than 250 shops spread across 51,500 square metres. It offers a true village-style shopping experience.

Visitors can find a wide range of Italian and international brands, from Gucci and Prada to Nike and Adidas. In addition, discounts of up to 70% are available throughout the year.

Moreover, Serravalle Designer Outlet offers cafés, Italian restaurants, and a playground for children. A large free car park is also available on site.

For this reason, it is an ideal shopping destination for families as well as fashion lovers.
