Genova Wall Art – Italian Fine Art Photography from the Mediterranean City of Genoa

There is a moment in which photography stops being mere representation and becomes memory, matter, and vision.
It is from this intimate and suspended space — deeply human, deeply Mediterranean — that Genova Wall Art was born.

As a photographer and as the founder of Genoa Photo Tours, I walk through the city every day. I return to the same alleys, rooftops, walls and horizons, and yet nothing is ever the same. Genoa reveals itself slowly: in light that shifts, in textures shaped by wind and salt, in silence layered over centuries of life on the Italian Riviera.

This project is my way of opening a part of my personal photographic archive — a body of work that grows through daily observation, exploration, and research into light, form, and imagination.
The archive begins in Genoa, but it is not confined to it. It moves through the city and beyond it, transforming what we see into a more interior, contemplative vision.

Genova Wall Art is where these images become fine art prints — accessible to collectors, travelers, interior designers and photography lovers across the world.

A Visual Language Rooted in the Italian Riviera

Genoa is not only a place.
It is light, stone, wind, sea, shadow, and texture — a living laboratory for a photographer’s eye.

Within my images coexist:

  • architecture and landscape
  • walls and eroded surfaces
  • sea lines and suspended horizons
  • shadows becoming composition
  • colors that vibrate
  • abstractions born from real details
  • symbolic figures and double exposures
  • fragments of everyday life transformed into poetic presence

This is not decoration alone.
It is a visual journey, where observed reality meets transformed reality — a dialogue between matter and emotion, simplicity and abstraction, silence and imagination.

Fine Art Prints for Interiors, Collectors, and Design Lovers

To make this archive accessible, the works are offered in three carefully curated lines, all produced through world-class fine art laboratories across the globe.

This international production model lets each print be produced as close as possible to the buyer, ensuring:

  • lower environmental impact (reduced transport emissions)
  • faster, safer delivery
  • museum-grade quality anywhere in the world

From the United States and Canada to the UK, Germany, and Australia, each artwork arrives ready to hang, crafted with exceptional attention to detail.

THE COLLECTIONS — Six Ways to Experience Genoa

Below are the six collections currently available.
Each one is a different way of entering the atmosphere, textures and emotional depth of the Italian Riviera.

I. Framed Canvas Collections — Open Edition

1. Suspended Glimpses (Scorci Sospesi)

Genoa does not reveal itself to those who chase it.
It appears to those who pause.

Italian-riviera-photos

This collection is an invitation to slow down.
To discover the delicate, suspended beauty that emerges when you stop and let the city breathe around you.
Each image is a quiet threshold — a moment where light rests on stone and turns into contemplation.

2. Between Rooftops, Cranes and Horizons: The Breath of Genoa

Genoa reveals itself between slanted rooftops, cranes drawing the sky, and a horizon scented with sea.

These works capture the verticality, labor, and maritime pulse of the city.
Light flows, wind rises from the alleys, and silence becomes color.
A small journey through the breath of Genoa — a city that speaks softly to those who know how to listen to its light.

3. Crossing the Silence (Varcare il Silenzio)

A collection that invites the viewer to slow their gaze.

In architectural details, shadows and urban geometries, a deep quiet emerges — turning each image into a place of listening.

These are suspended fragments meant to be contemplated, to let the subtle voice beneath the noise rise to the surface.

II. Design Materials — Open Edition

4. Fragments of Light and Matter — Brushed Aluminum

A black-and-white collection dedicated to material, memory, and the architecture of Genoa.

Printed on brushed aluminum, each image amplifies contrast and enhances texture, turning light into a graphic mark.
From the narrow alleys to the port docks, from ancient stone to reflective water, these photographs offer an intimate and powerful perspective of a true Mediterranean city.

Perfect for minimalist, industrial, and architectural interiors.

5. Vibrant Presence — Glossy acrylic glass

Light, color, and details that vibrate in the eye.

Printed on 10 mm glossy acrylic glass, these works transform urban fragments — reflections, structures, everyday details — into living, pulsing presences.
The glossy surface enhances brightness and contrast, creating a three-dimensional sensation that makes each print a contemporary, luminous object.

Ideal for modern interiors, design studios, hotels, creative spaces.

III. Fine Art Limited Edition — Certified, Signed, Award-Winning

6. Silent Witnesses (Testimoni Silenziosi)

“They have been here long before us. If they could speak, what would they say?”

This artistic project reflects on the historical, political, and social changes that have shaped our territory.
Seeking beauty during moments of uncertainty, I turned to these thousands of faces carved into the city — some reassuring, others severe, sensual, mysterious, or wounded.

A project that has received international recognition:

  • Tokyo International Foto Awards 2024 – Bronze, Portfolio Fine Art
  • Tokyo International Foto Awards 2024 – Honorable Mention
  • London International Creative Competition 2024 – Finalist

Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm, signed and numbered.
Edition limited to 5 copies + 2 artist proofs.

A true collector’s series.

A Human Invitation Across Cultures

Working every day with visitors from the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany and many other places has taught me something essential:

Photography is connection.
A smile shared while discovering a hidden alley.
A moment of wonder at unexpected light.
A bridge between cultures, languages, and ways of feeling the world.

Genova Wall Art exists to create these small openings —
varchi — between my city and your space, between my gaze and your story.
